Snow Discussion Group Seeking Additional Members

By Phil Harwood

Are you involved in the snow and ice management industry? Do you find value in connecting with other snow fighters? If so, I would invite you to consider this unique opportunity. One of the things I enjoy most is being the facilitator for a group of snowfighters that meets monthly online. And the group is seeking additional members. If you’re intrigued, continue reading.

The group has five members currently. The group has not lost any members since its inception. All members are from different geographic areas and none are competitors. Some are owners and some are not. Some companies are larger and some are smaller. It’s a nice mix with many different perspectives and ideas. The common thread is that everyone in the group is a serious snow fighter and wants to improve in any way they can.

Peer groups have been around for a long time and they bring great value. But in many cases, they are expensive to be a part of and involve a considerable amount of time away. This group keeps it simple. There is a monthly cost but it’s minimal. There is no travel. We meet on Zoom once a month and collaborate via email/text in between meetings.

The best part of this group is that we’re just talking about our snow businesses. What is working. What is not working. What equipment is performing. What vendors are best. What processes are helpful. How we’re finding and retaining people. You name it. If it involves snow, it’s fair game.

If you feel like you’re on an island, fighting all by yourself, this group is for you. Send me an email at phil@growthebench.com for more information or to be considered.

Also, if you’re looking for other networking opportunities, check out the 2024 Snowfighters Institute lineup of events. Registration is open and these events will sell out.

Now go forth.
